Two fire engines were called to the house at Batherton Close
ONE person has been taken to hospital after a bathroom fire broke out.
Firefighters were called to a house at Batherton Close in Widnes on Saturday around 2pm to deal with a fire involving a bath mat.
The casualty was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation and minor burns at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
