A GARDEN of remembrance has been created at St Michael’s Catholic Primary School in Widnes.
Halton MP Derek Twigg opened the memorial at a ceremony on April 21.
It was funded with donations from Widnes Royal British Legion Ball O Ditton Branch and Widnes Royal Artillery Association.
Fr Matthew Jolley joined veterans, head teacher Paul Loughran, pupils and school governors to bless the Ditton garden.
The tranquil spot has a wooden bench, plants and flowers and is a place where children, staff and visitors can remember their loved ones and all those who sacrificed their lives for their country.
