A MOTORIST was trapped in a vehicle after a collision between a bus and a car in Runcorn this morning.
Firefighters freed the man just before 9am.
The collision happened at a bus stop outside St Chad’s Catholic and Church of England High School on Grangeway.
Police say the man was trapped in a grey BMW 500.
He has been taken to Warrington Hospital with minor injuries.
The bus driver was not hurt.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Trust said: “There was a collision between a bus and a car.
“People on the bus were not injured.
“One person was trapped in a vehicle with minor injuries and freed by firefighters.”
Paramedics advised one bus passenger with minor injuries to go to the Urgent Care Centre at Halton Hospital.
The road has now re-opened.
