Ziggy, a canary from Peelhouse Lane, Widnes, our pet of the week
MEET Ziggy Sawdust, an 18-month-old blue canary.
Her owner Stephen Robinson, of Peelhouse Lane, Widnes, said: “I got her about the time David Bowie died, early January 2016, hence the name.
“She’s a lovely friend little thing who likes to sit on you hand while you have a chat with her with only a slight bribe of millet, which is very tame for a canary!
“She likes to watch the morning rush hour traffic, followed by a fly around the light shade and have a bit of a sing.
“She loves to try different vegetables and fruits”
