A GIRL’S table tennis team is celebrating after competing in the Butterfly National School Team Championships in Lincolnshire.
Pupils from St Michael’s Catholic Primary School in Widnes were runners up in the regional finals.
Assistant head teacher Jill Davies accompanied the team with coach Alan Holmes.
She said: “We were thrilled with the girls’ performance on the day, especially when some of the girls are new to table tennis.
“The girls travelled to Grantham with their families and really enjoyed the experience.
“We hope to build on this success in future matches and competitions.”
