A WOMAN was treated for smoke inhalation after a chip pan fire in Widnes.
Firefighters tackled the blaze at a flat on College Fields shortly after 2.30pm this afternoon.
Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A large fan was also used to remove smoke from the property.
“One woman was given oxygen therapy by firefighters prior to the arrival of paramedics.”
