Firefighters teamed up with paramedics to rescue two women trapped after a two car collision in Runcorn
TWO women were trapped after two cars collided in Runcorn.
The incident happened on the Central Expressway shortly after 6pm last night.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews worked alongside paramedics to release the two women who were then handed to the care of the ambulance service.”
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service confirmed that paramedics tended two casualties, one was suffering from neck pain.
One woman was taken to Whiston Hospital whilst the other was transferred to Warrington Hospital.
