A CHILDREN’S charity has launched an appeal for a replacement boiler.
Halton Play Council is hoping to raise £2,700 through a Crowdfunding page.
Manager Joyce Reilly said: “Our resource centre which provides our administration base and storage as well as our fundraising scrapstore is in urgent need of a replacement boiler.”
The charity, on Mersey Road, Runcorn, provides short breaks for children and young people aged four to 18 with additional needs.
It also offers free holiday playschemes for youngsters aged five to 12.
The charity turns unwanted items into unusual resources as businesses are encouraged to donate all sorts of items they no longer use.
Schools, nurseries and community groups then transform them into all sorts of imaginative objects.
Items are sold for a small charge and the money is ploughed back into the charity which champions free play for all children.
