AN open day is being held for people to find out about the work of a specialist charity.

Child Bereavement UK, which has an office in Runcorn, supports bereaved families.

The open day is on Wednesday, March 22, from 11am to 6pm, at Suite 1, Victoria Buildings on High Street.

Fundraising officer Seb Farrell said: “The open day is a great opportunity for anybody wishing to find out more about the charity.

“You may have been affected by bereavement yourself or know somebody who is.

“Come along and have a chat to one of our brilliant support practitioners on the day.

“You can also get involved with supporting us from a fundraising perspective, I’d be very pleased to hear from you.”

Refreshments will be provided and the bereavement support practitioner team will also be on hand to offer support.

People are welcome to pop in at any time during the day for an informal chat with support practitioners.

Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child or any age dies or is dying or when a child is facing bereavement.

Every year the charity trains more than 8,000 professionals helping them to better understand and meet the needs of grieving families.
