MEET River, a whippet, from Widnes, our pet of the week.
His owner Lauren Townsend, of Barnes Road, said: “River is the most loving and friendly dog ever.
“He loves walks and playing with your socks.
“He’s afraid of fireworks but can sense when you’ve had a bad day and he will then proceed to sit on your face.”
