HALTON Baseball Club is appealing for new players.

Members field adult teams, aged 16 and over, who compete in various leagues.

Team manager Mitch Cross said: “Younger people can still play. If we had enough interest we would start a younger team.”

There are two weeks of winter training sessions left at The Heath School sports hall on Clifton Road.

Sessions are held on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm.

The team also trains on a Sunday at their home field at John Mills Ballpark on Murdishaw Avenue.

Once the season starts games are played on Sundays from 12 noon.
