BOXERS from Kingsway Boxing Club Widnes are celebrating success after competing in two shows.

Cameron Lewis earned his second victory within a week with a hard fought win coming by way of a split decision on the Golden Gloves ABC show in Liverpool.

Dane Unsworth did himself proud making his competitive debut in the same show against a Golden Gloves boxer.

Although his opponent emerged victorious, Dane showed some eye catching skills and proved he has every reason to be optimistic about the future.

Peter Donoghue and Max Fisher both continued their development by competing in skills bouts on the Knowsley Vale ABC skills show.

The 13 year olds boxed extremely well with Peter facing a home boxer in a closely fought contest and Max boxing skilfully off the back foot against a strong opponent from Birch Green ABC.

Liam Gorman from Kingsway Boxing Club said: “All four boys are a credit to the club and demonstrated that they have a lot of potential.”

Kingsway Boxing Club trains at Optimum Fitness gym in Widnes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6.30pm to 8pm.

New starters who wish to work towards boxing competitively are invited to come along on the first Friday of each month.
