Firefighters tackle two torched cars in Halton on the same evening
TWO cars have been torched in arson attacks in Halton – within five hours yesterday.
One car was completely gutted after someone set it on fire.
Firefighters discovered the vehicle well alight on The Uplands in Palacefields shortly after 6pm yesterday.
Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
It is believed that the fire was started deliberately.
Another car was ignited on the driveway of a house on Iona Crescent, Widnes.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the flames at 11pm, using two hose reel jets.
