A TEENAGE boy was left traumatised after two men threatened him and attempted to steal his mountain bike.
The 16-year-old was cycling along a footpath off Birchfield Road, near Widnes train station at around 4.45pm yesterday, Wednesday, when the incident happened.
The boy was approached by two young men who threatened him and attempted to steal his mountain bike.
DC Tim Brookes said: “This was a traumatic ordeal and thankfully the boy was not seriously hurt.
“We would like to ask anyone in the area at the time who may have information about the incident to contact Widnes CID to help us with our enquiries.”
Anyone who was in the area and may have seen anything please is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident no 624 of 22 February 2017.
