WIDNES singing sensation Beau Dermott is joining former X factor winner and gold-selling artist Sam Bailey on her UK tour.

The 13-year-old, who wowed the country on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, has been invited to be her support act at Llandudno’s Venue Cymru on March 22.

More than 12 million ITV viewers watched Beau’s powerful rendition of Defying Gravity from Wicked as she won acclaim from all the judges.

Simon Cowell said: “I guarantee you in five or 10 years time we’re all going to look back at this period when we first saw you and say: ‘This is the moment we discovered a star’.

The former Cronton CE pupil came fifth on the talent show and has been signed up by showbusiness mogul Jonathan Shalit who discovered Charlotte Church.

Her dad Ian, 53, said: “Beau is delighted to be singing with Sam. She is a lovely person and has an incredible talent.

“Sam is an inspiration to Beau.”

He said it will be great preparation for Beau’s debut concert at the Liverpool Philharmonic on April 15.

She will be joined by guests as she raises funds for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, the Donna Louise Trust and the Mane Chance Sanctuary.

Beau wants to support the cancer charity as her dad is recovering from surgery after having a tumour removed from his saliva gland.

Sam, grounded throughout her meteroric rise from prison guard to musical star, has always been keen to give other artists a boost on the path to success.

She pledged to give Beau ‘the exclusive and potentially life-changing opportunity’ to perform live on stage as her support act.

Speaking about her new Sing My Heart Out tour, Sam said: “For me, nothing is more rewarding than getting the chance to share my music with my fans live.

“My fans are so diverse, so there’s something for everyone from ballads to dance track and poppy numbers.”
