A CHARITY Elvis night is being held at a Runcorn school to support Halton Haven Hospice.

One Night With The King takes place at St Chad’s Catholic and CE High School at 7pm on Thursday, January 19.

Excited sixth former Calum Snell will be performing as Elvis, complete with full suit and wig.

The 17-year-old will sing a selection of the king’s favourite hits.

“This is something we have never done before and we are all very excited,” said gifted Calum, of Campbell Avenue, who has played leads in Bugsy Malone, We Will Rock You and Annie.

“The hall will be transformed into a Vegas style club and guests will be greeted with ‘mocktails’ as they are shown to their tables.

“I personally feel very passionate about Halton Haven and hope that my performance as Elvis will be very entertaining as I have much experience acting and on stage.”

Tickets priced £4, including food and drink, are now available from the school reception on Grangeway.

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

There will be a raffle supported by The Prospect pub and bucket collections during the evening.
