YOUNG swimmers have completed a week of intensive training in Majorca.
Children aged 10 to 17 from Runcorn Reps, a community swimming club, were put through their paces by international coaches.
The youngsters knocked seconds off their personal best times at the Blackpool lights gala following their specialist tuition.
Head coach mum-of-three Liz Bibby, 56, said: “They trained in an outside 10 lane Olympic pool and were coached by European and Olympic medallists.
“The children’s abilities were stretched greatly throughout this experience, training four hours each day.
“A special thanks must go to The Heath, St Chad’s, Sandymoor and Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy for allowing their students to access this life-changing and character building experiencing participating at such a prestigious facility.”
The club is grateful to sponsors Husco International, Howdens, Boydells and Runcorn Lodge 4214 for their continued help and support.
