THE next generation of beauty students were given top tips and advice about how to nail it in the make-up industry by a former pupil.

Former Riverside student Shannon Ellaby, 28, who works as a national mobile therapist for Clarins, was keen to return to the college and host a series of workshops for aspiring beauticians.

Level two and three students took part in three practical workshops and gained first-hand experience of using the products and training in facial and application techniques.

Karen Gill, salon manager at Riverside College, said: “We fully appreciate the value our industry links and engaging events such as these Clarins’ workshops gives to students.

"They inspire students to work with high profile industry figures such as Clarins, the number one skin care and beauty brand.

"I am immensely proud of Shannon and it was a pleasure to share her success with our current students throughout these workshops.”
