A CHRISTMAS toy appeal has been launched to treat children in need.
Smart Storage, which has base on Hutchinson Street in Widnes, has teamed up with businesses to collect festive gifts.
Smart Storage toy appeal organiser Paul Whittaker said: “Last year was amazing, our communities yet again showed that even in these economically difficult times that they are willing to dig deep to help those less fortunate.
“We collected in excess 10,000 toys and we are hoping for another fantastic response.
“Our message is simple, please spare a thought for those children who just would not get a present this Christmas if it wasn’t for this appeal.”
The appeal team met at Gulliver’s World with charities and supporters to launch the appeal.
Halton Brook Children’s Centre in Runcorn is one of many charities which will benefit.
New and nearly new toys can be dropped off at the Smart Storage Branch on Hutchinson Street, Widnes or at Runcorn Shopping Centre.
