A WOMAN was robbed as she was jogging in Widnes.
The 41-year-old victim was running along Gorsey Lane when a man demanded she hand over her valuables.
Police say she gave him some jewellery before managing to escape.
Detectives today appealed for information.
The robbery happened on Monday, October 17 at around 7pm.
The offender is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, with a weathered face and dark beard.
He was wearing dark clothing and spoke with an Irish accent.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at that time or has any information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 865 of 17 October 2016.
