Mark Ellis, 26, of Boston Avenue, appeared before North Cheshire Magistrates charged with arson
A MAN has been charged with arson following a house fire in Runcorn.
Cheshire Police today confirmed that Mark Ellis, 26, of Boston Avenue, was arrested after firefighters tackled a blaze at his home.
Crews were called to a small fire at the property shortly before 8am on Sunday.
Two fire engines dealt with the incident.
One casualty, reported to be the suspect, was taken to Warrington Hospital following the fire.
Ellis appeared at North Cheshire Magistrates in Runcorn yesterday charged with arson with intent.
The defendant is due to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday, November 14.
