BUSINESSES across Halton that trade abroad could save hundreds of pounds, thanks to a new foreign currency exchange service.

Halton Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with Moneycorp to enable chamber members to access a range of financial services.

The new partnership could ease the transfer of money to and from countries overseas.

The service includes a free health check to assess a business’s foreign exchange needs.

Chamber chief executive Paula Cain said: “With exchange rates currently in favour of British companies who trade overseas, this is a great time for UK businesses to expand their exporting activity.

“Halton Chamber’s link with Moneycorp will ease the foreign exchange process and give our members a competitive edge.

“This service is the latest in a portfolio of extra benefits which give chamber members access to expert help in specialist fields such as human resources and employment law.

“Our aim is always to help local businesses be more competitive and effective.”

Moneycorp can buy and sell in 35 currencies and offers more competitive exchange rates and transfer fees currently offered by British banks.

All their work is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority Halton Chamber’s next 1st Tuesday breakfast network event is on Tuesday, October 4 from 7.30am to 9.30am at Runcorn’s Heath Business Park.

Halton Employment Partnership Manager Michael Harley will be the guest speaker talking about how ‘The Ways to Work Programme’ can help local businesses.
