A DAREDEVIL team is tackling the Bear Grylls Survival Race at Tatton Park on Saturday to help a children’s charity.

Five employees from Prima Software on Gorsey Lane in Widnes hope to raise £500 for Barnardo’s.

Exhaustion, fitness, agility and determination will be pushed to the limit as they face a gruelling test of endurance.

Unique survival challenges will see them face the harshest environments battling difficult terrain.

But they are determined to succeed and raise as much money as possible.

Callum Edwards, digital marketing executive at Prima said: “Many of the team are parents and fully understand the love, care and attention all children should have and deserve.

“We are therefore delighted to be raising money on behalf of this brilliant charity, now in its 150th year.

“Barnado’s provide many vital services for vulnerable children suffering from domestic violence, sexual exploitation and poverty.

“They also provide fostering, adoption and social care to those in need.”

The team includes Caron Hughes, 27, from Runcorn, Oli Rowles, 27, from Warrington, Tim Capper, 34, and Steve Dennis, 33, both from Northwich, and Joe Thomas, 21, from Prescot.
