A NEW £3.3 million project is being launched to help teenagers find a job or embark on training or education.

Halton Council's employment, learning and skills division and 14-19 team is unveiling a new programme called ‘Ways to Work’.

Free one-to-one information, support and guidance will be available from a team of dedicated advisors.

Practical help and support will include job search skills, help compiling a CV and application forms and preparing for interviews.

Coaching and mentoring support will also be offered alongside help to improve maths and English.

Funding will be provided for eligible youngsters to get back into work as well as ongoing support once they start employment.

European funding has been awarded as part of a wider Liverpool City Region bid to the Department of Work and Pensions.

Young people are invited to see what the project can offer between 10.30am and 2pm on Monday, September 26 at Kingsway Learning Centre, Widnes and Thursday, September 29 at Halton People Into Jobs, Rutland House, Halton Lea, Runcorn.

Help is available for individuals of any age over 16 who need support.

The project aims to give people the tools and support needed to achieve their goals and ambitions.

Staff from the Ways to Work project will be at both events to provide information.
