A CHARITY car wash is being held at Runcorn Fire Station on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

The proceeds will be shared between Halton Haven Hospice and the Fire Fighters Charity.

Runcorn fire cadets will be teaming up with green watch to wash cars.

Fire cadet leader Andy Hughes said: “Halton Haven Hospice has been chosen in recognition of the valuable care they provide in our community.

“They rely on donations so we hope to see as many cars as possible on the day.

“The Fire Fighters Charity provides support for injured firefighters and their families and provides rehabilitation services to get them back to work as soon as possible.

“Both of these charities are very deserving causes and we hope to raise as much as we can.”

Road safety checks will be given to every vehicle in preparation for the winter months ahead.
