A WOMEN’S sports team has pledged to help an animal rescue centre in Hale Village.
North Cheshire Victory Rollers are giving up their time on Saturday to muck out the stables at Shetland Rescue, which they have chosen as their charity of the year.
Farm manager Sarah McKenzie, who lives on the site on Ramsbrook Lane, dedicates her life to rescuing and caring for ponies, horses, pigs, goats, donkeys, chickens, dogs and cats.
The sanctuary relies solely on donations.
Suzy Baines from North Cheshire Victory Rollers said: “We are appealing to the public for donations of dog and cat food, salt licks for horses, yard brushes and wheelbarrows.”
