Crews tackle matress fire
FIREFIGHTERS were called after a mattress caught fire at a property in Runcorn last night.
Fire crews attended after they received a report of the blaze at the back of a house on Boston Avenue at around 10.15pm.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a report of a fire off Boston Avenue in Runcorn.
"When they arrived crews found that there was a fire involving a mattress at the back of a house. Crews used a hose reel jet to put the fire out."
