AN EXHIBITION of the best of Halton-made contemporary art will open at the Brindley tomorrow.
Artists from across Widnes and Runcorn have contributed to art collective Markmakers’ Landmarks and Boundaries exhibition.
The artworks have been inspired by a theme of coastlines of the north west and Wales.
Textile artist Val Jackson said: “Markmakers exhibitions are always stimulation to take part in as they encompass the use of such a wide range of creative skills and artists are not confined to their own speciality but are able to extend the borders of their own techniques.”
Other Halton-based artists including Maria Tarn and Claire Weetman will exhibit at the show, which runs until Saturday October 8.
Artists from the collective, which meets once a month at Hazlehurst Studios in Runcorn, will be talking about their work at the Brindley on Saturday September 1 at 1pm.
