A FUNDRAISER is staging a charity night in Widnes to help adults with learning disabilities.

Aaron Palmer, 31, is launching a lip sync battle, an American music reality competition, at The Bradley pub at 8pm on Friday.

Contestants are invited to dress up as their favourite artist and mime a song.

“I’m hoping to raise £500,000 by organising this competition in pubs across Widnes,” said bar man Aaron, of Milton Road.

“It is a huge target but I am dedicated to this charity and want to help them as much as I can.”

All proceeds will go to the Halton engagement partnership which encourages adults with learning disabilities to lead independent, happier lives.

Businesses have donated prizes for a raffle and entrants will be asked to pay £1 to perform.
