A SPECIAL bake off is being held at the annual North West Vintage Car Rally in Widnes.
Riverside College’s catering department has teamed up with Halton Council to run the competition at Victoria Park on September 24 and 25.
This event, now in its 15th year, attracts up to 60,000 visitors.
Bakers are challenged to prepare, bake and decorate a cake to illustrate the theme of Halton or the vintage car rally.
Participants will then present their creations to the judges at the event.
Prizes will be awarded in four age categories, under 10s, under 16s, under 25s and over 25s.
Anyone interested in taking part is asked to e-mail college programme area leader for catering and hospitality Stephen Parkinson at stephen.parkinson@riverside.ac.uk before Wednesday, July 13.

Places in each category are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The rally is open from 10am to 5pm each day.
