TWO Halton beauty queens are flying to America after winning National Elite Miss to compete in an international competition.

Molly-Anne Nolan, 15, of Rivenmill Close, Widnes, won the junior teen title and Georgia Urmson, 18, of Grangemoor, Runcorn, walked off with the teen crown.

Molly impressed judges with her pledge to become an ambassador to combat bullying.

Her mum, Heather, 38, said: “Molly has struggled with confidence and self-esteem issues and has been the victim of bullying.

“She has turned her negative experience into something positive.

“She is hoping to start a support group to help others.”

Stepping on the catwalk has given her confidence.

“Pageants have given her the ability to believe in herself,” added Heather.

“She is very compassionate and caring.”

St Chad’s sixth former and former Vikings cheerleaders Georgia has raised hundreds of pounds for charity after winning countless beauty titles.

The pair are now looking forward to competing against contestants from all over the world in Orlando next April.
