A MAN suffered a broken jaw after being attacked in the street in Runcorn .
The victim was walking home alone along Barnfield Avenue in Murdishaw when he was hit from behind and kicked while on the ground.
Police say he underwent surgery for a broken jaw, lost three teeth and suffered bruising to his face and arm.
The attack happened on Friday, June 10, between midnight and 1.50am outside Murdishaw Community Centre railings on Barnfield Avenue.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone with information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 43 of June 10.
Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
