A WIDNES pub has re-opened after a £311,000 makeover.
The Crows Nest on Moorfield Road has created several new jobs after being extensively refurbished.
Publican Keith Roberts and his wife Allison, who has given up her own business, run the pub.
Halton MP Derek Twigg raised a toast to wish the couple well.
He said: “I was delighted to visit the Crows Nest and see the transformation first hand.
“Not only has the investment by Punch improved the pub’s appearance and facilities it has also created several new jobs which is great news for the local community.”
Extensive renovations have given the family pub an bright new image.
Keith said: “I’ve worked in the retail industry for 30 years and the pub industry for the last seven years and will now be focussing all my energy on our new venture.”
