A SECOND teenager charged in connection with the murder of a Widnes dad appeared at Chester Crown Court yesterday.
The 15-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of 43-year-old Lee Briggs and being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin.
He was remanded in youth custody until Friday, September 2 when he will appear alongside another 15-year-old boy who is also charged with the same murder.
Mr Briggs was found with serious injuries near a children’s playground at St Marie’s Community Park on Ann Street West shortly before 5pm on Monday, May 16.
Police found him in a field near Tesco Extra off Lugsdale Road.
Mr Briggs was taken to Whiston Hospital where he died a short time later.
A post mortem examination revealed he died from a single stab wound.
