An elderly man was rescued from a flat fire in Kidbrooke yesterday (June 6).
Two fire engines were sent to Corelli Road, near Shooters Hill Road, at 12.05pm, where the pensioner was suffering from smoke inhalation.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics from London Ambulance Service.
A first-floor flat was ablaze in the apartment block – and part of its kitchen was destroyed by the flames.

London Fire Brigade sent 10 firefighters and officers to the scene – and the blaze was under control by 12.30pm.
