THE body of a man has been found in Widnes.
Police officers were called to Darlington Court, off Lacey Street at 9.36am.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A post mortem will take place in due course.
“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
People living nearby say forensic teams have been at the scene for a couple of hours.
One man said: “A policeman asked me if I’d seen or know anyone sleeping rough because a body was found.”
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust has confirmed that an ambulance was called at 9.37am and arrived three minutes later.
