The figure celebrates the life of John Middleton (1578-1623) who lived in Hale village.
Set in front of the Manor House near Withins Way, the carving attracts visitors from all over the world.
Halton’s most famous son has intrigued people for 400 years.
The legendary giant was rumoured to be so tall, he had to sleep with his feet hanging out of the window of his tiny cottage.
