A WIDNES motorist has today denied causing the death of a cyclist when he appeared at Liverpool Crown Court.
Raymond Price, 40, of The Caravan Park, Tanhouse Lane, is accused of causing the death of Mark Robinson by driving a Mazda carelessly on Robin Park Road, Wigan, on May 14 last year.
The 34-year-old victim, who was engaged to be married, died later in hospital from head injuries following the collision near Wigan police station.
The fatal accident happened as the cyclist was using a pedestrian crossing.
Price was further remanded on unconditional bail to await his trial, which is expected to last three days, starting on June 13.
