POLICE negotiators spent four hours trying to talk a man down from the roof of a house in Runcorn.
The man, in his 20s, climbed on top of a three-storey property on Davenport Row, Halton Lodge at 9am this morning.
Police, firefighters and ambulance crews were at the scene as neighbouring roads were closed.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Police negotiators are at the scene. Efforts are continuing to resolve the matter.”
One witness told The World: “There are least seven police cars and a transit van. An ambulance is also on standby at the derelict Croft pub.”
The man came down just after 1pm and was arrested.
