WITH more children than ever before seeking a loving home, the search is on to find new foster carers.

Halton Fostering Team is looking for people with life skills, who stay patient and understanding during difficult times.

A spokesman for Halton Council said: “Fostering is often a demanding and challenging role but it’s also an incredibly fulfilling and rewarding thing to do - to make a real difference to a child’s life by caring for them at the time they need someone the most.”

Potential foster carers don’t need any particular experience or skills at the early stages.

Training will be given to help develop the necessary knowledge and skills it takes to be a foster carer.

Fostering information sessions are held in Runcorn Town Hall every month.

There’s no need to book. Anyone interested can turn up and talk to existing foster carers.

The next session takes place from 10am to 12 noon on Tuesday, February 2.
