THE body of a man has been found in Runcorn.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances.
They had been looking for a 55-year-old man from Preston Brook in Runcorn who was reported missing shortly after 7pm last night.
Residents saw a police helicopter was flying over Murdishaw woods this morning.
A police spokesman said: “Sadly at around 11.30am today, the body of a man was found near the busway near Murdishaw Avenue.
“An investigation has concluded and there are no suspicious circumstances.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Next of kin are being informed.
