A NEW course is set to boost confidence and help people to feel positive.

Halton Council’s adult learning team is running a five week course in principles of neuro linguistic programming in January.

It holds the key to learning and helps people to take control of their lives through positive thinking.

Topics covered include the art and science of communication, how to understand, what makes you and other people tick, the method of creating your own future, and the way to help people make sense of their reality.

People who completed the first course in September say they found it very inspiring.

One student said: “It was a relaxing atmosphere and it was good to talk to other people in the same situation.

“I always felt better after a lesson.”

Another student added: “I found it was not only very informative, friendly, helpful and welcoming, but it covered many areas at varying levels to accommodate the wide range of adults attending.

“The tutor make our learning exciting and fun.”

Halton Cllr Eddie Jones, board member for adult learning, said: “People had asked for courses help boost their confidence, improve self-esteem and promote wellbeing.

“It is good to hear that students who have taken this course have found it has really helped them.”

The course costs £30 and attendance is two hours a week. Fee remission available depending on what benefits the learner receives.

Enrolment days will be held on Wednesday, December 16, from 10.30am to 6pm at Acorn Learning Centre, Runcorn and on Thursday 17 December 17, from 10.30am to 6pm at Kingsway Learning Centre, Widnes.
