RUNCORN police hunting for an armed bank robber today issued a CCTV image of a suspect.
Officers were called to Nationwide in High Street in Runcorn at 4.55pm on Monday, November 16, following reports of a robbery involving a firearm.
The offender fled with cash and was last seen running down steps that lead to the Bridgewater Canal.
None of the staff at the bank were injured.
The offender is described as a white male, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall, and of slim build.
He was wearing a black hat, a black jacket and a bandana with a skeleton jaw on it.
As part of the investigation two men were arrested and have since been released without charge.
Anyone who recognises the person in the image or has any information should contact Runcorn Police on 101 quoting incident number 683 of 16 November 2015.
