YOUNG people held their own question time style debate.

They quizzed a panel of politicians and community leaders at CRMZ in Kingsway on Friday.

Youngsters aged 11 to 19 were invited to put questions to Halton MP Derek Twigg, Cllr ged Philbin, Cllr John Bradshaw, Cllr Sue Edge, Cheshire Police Assistant Chief Constable Mark Roberts, Halton Clinical Commissioning Group’s Dr Cliff Richards, Halton Council’s chief nurse Jan Snoddin and Halton Council’s director for education, inclusion and provision Ann McIntyre.

The debate was organised as part of parliament week, a national initiative co-ordinated by the House of Commons and House of Lords to raise awareness about democracy.
