CHILDREN are invited to follow in the footsteps of Alice in Wonderland for a special celebration.
Halton teenage volunteers are marking the 150th anniversary of this Lewis Carroll classic.
They will be reading the story with some of the characters springing to life.
Two interactive events will be held on Tuesday, December 22 from 10am to 12 noon at Widnes Library and from 2pm to 4pm at Halton Lea Library.
Children aged up to 10 are invited to come along in fancy dress.
The project is now appealing for more volunteers.
They are looking for young people aged 12-19 willing to help prepare decorations and dress up as various characters.
The Widnes Library group meets every Wednesday from 5pm-6pm, Anyone interested in the Runcorn group can email nicola.lamb@halton.gov.uk.
Lewis Carroll, otherwise known as Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, was famously born in Daresbury.
