Firefighters tackle kitchen blaze
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a kitchen blaze in Widnes last night.
Crews were called to a fire in a house in Bancroft Road shortly before 6pm on Sunday, October 4.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The alarm had been raised because of overheated food in a microwave which had caused smoke in the property.
“Firefighters used a high pressure fan to clear the smoke."
