Halton's recycling centres now on winter opening hours
Halton’s Household waste recycling centres have switched to shorter winter opening hours.
They are now open from 8am until 6pm.
The centres at Johnsons Lane, Widnes and Picow Farm Road, Runcorn are operated by Veolia Environmental Services on behalf of Halton Council.
To avoid queues, people are advised to vary the times they visit.
It is always busy around midday at the weekend.
Householders in commercial type vehicles or large trailers are reminded that without a relevant permit, they will not be allowed access.
