Face painting, just one of the family fun activities at fire station open day
WIDNES Fire Station is holding an open day from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, October 10.
A vintage fire appliance will be on display and there will be lots of family fun activities in the grounds at Lacey Steet.
Free ice cream, face painting and a bouncy castle will keep children entertained.
Firefighters will be demonstrating the dangers of chip pans left unattended.
There will be a smoke tent and driving simulator.
Fire cadets will demonstrate various exercises including removing casualties from cars.
A bicycle and helmet will be given away in a competition.
Tea and cakes will be served.
