There’s the chance to unearth surprising facts in the villages of Daresbury, Farnworth, Hale and Moore.
A programme of free events for the whole family will take place from Thursday, September to Sunday, September 13.
Halton Cllr Eddie Jones, board member for heritage and tourism said: “Heritage Open Days are a fantastic way to discover a new side to a familiar site or building, uncovering secrets and unlocking areas not usually open to the public.
"We have planned plenty of activities to keep all ages entertained and everything is free.”
