Yesterday, I received the North West Public Health Award 2007 as NHS Contribution to Public Health - Provider Award for the Don't Walk Away campaign, there were 74 other entries from Local authorities and NHS Trusts, I was commended at the end of the presentation by Dr Kate Ardern Associate Director of Public Health for my work and campaign and she said that I was an inspiration to other Health Workers.
